About

Assistant Jurisdictional Supervisor Gwen Scott

Assistant Jurisdictional Supervisor Gwen Scott is a woman of unwavering faith whose life and ministry were shaped by a powerful divine encounter. Although she grew up attending church, her true con version came during a Holy Ghost-filled Pentecostal revival on a summer night in East Texas. Responding to repeated invitations without expecting a personal encounter with God, she attended with the intention of sitting quietly in the back and leaving early. Instead, a deep conviction gripped her heart, and that evening she fully surrendered her life to the Lord.

From that moment forward, the call to preach the Gospel and reach lost souls became unmistakably clear. For decades, she has faithfully walked in that calling with dedication and humility.

Assistant Jurisdictional Supervisor Scott is no stranger to ministry or to the work of the Texas East Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction. Throughout the years, she has served faithfully in numerous capacities, including:

  • Personal and Jurisdictional Secretary under Jurisdictional Prelate Bishop J. Edward Lee, BHT

  • Elect Lady in the Evangelism Department, serving alongside Pastor Delaware Moore

  • District Missionary for the S. D. Lee District, faithfully serving for more than twenty years under the leadership of both Bishop J. Edward Lee and Bishop James E. Lee II, Jurisdictional Prelate of the Texas East Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction

  • Executive Board Assistant during the tenure of Mother Lula M. Pope, the second Jurisdictional Supervisor of the Department of Women, helping to mentor and support District Missionaries across the jurisdiction

  • Executive Committee Member assisting in planning, organizing, and facilitating the work and business of the Jurisdictional Department of Women

In November 2025, during Holy Convocation, Mother Scott was appointed Assistant Jurisdictional Supervisor in the Church of God in Christ, Inc., serving the Texas East Ecclesiastical Jurisdiction.

Mother Scott's roots hail from the Piney Woods of East Texas. She completed her formal education, graduating from Norris High School, and later attended East Texas University. In addition to her ministry service, she is an independent entrepreneur and has demonstrated leadership in other professional arenas. She previously worked for ten years as the radio station manager at KDFT 540 AM in Dallas and Arkansas.

Mother Scott was married to Pastor E. L. Scott for nearly thirty five years until his passing. Together, they faithfully co-pastored Vineyard Worship Center, where she now continues to serve as Shepherdess, providing spiritual leadership, care, and guidance to the congregation.

She is the devoted mother of six children, grandmother of eleven, and great-grandmother of seven.

Known for her servant's heart, her love language is giving. Her life reflects steadfast faith, love, and a n unwavering commitment to the work of the Kingdom.
